Celebrex: A Relief from Arthritis

Celebrex is known by the generic name Celecoxib. It acts against the hormones that creates inflammation and pain and thus helps in fighting arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, menstrual pain and hereditary polyps in the colon.

Follow the directions of the doctor while using the medicine. You can take this medication along with food or milk. Some people may find it difficult to swallow the capsules or tablets. Such people can drain the contents of the capsule into a food like applesauce which is not hot and swallow it with water without chewing. This mixture can be stored for less than 6 hours in a refrigerator.

Do not take Celebrex along with NSAIDs such as ibuprofen (Motrin, Advil), naproxen (Aleve, Naprosyn), diclofenac (Cataflam, Voltaren), diflunisal (Dolobid), etodolac (Lodine), flurbiprofen (Ansaid), indomethacin (Indocin), ketoprofen (Orudis), ketorolac (Toradol), mefenamic acid (Ponstel), meloxicam (Mobic), nabumetone (Relafen), or piroxicam (Feldene).never take this medicine before or after a bypass surgery. Discuss your health conditions with your doctor while under this medication. Alcohol should be avoided while using this medicine.
